It was in 1959 that His Eminence, then a young priest, took the initiative of organizing a day out on a public holiday, to bring together all his compatriots and their friends to enjoy a relaxing and joyful Greek day. The excursion always began with the celebration of a Divine Liturgy! Over the years, this festival has grown to become the largest gathering of Greeks and Philhellenes in the Benelux.
